February Meeting: 90-Second Newbery

Thanks to everyone who came to our February meeting! Thanks especially to author and impresario James Kennedy, who talked about the 90 Second Newbery project. I think many of us are now inspired to organize movie projects this summer!

Thanks also to Amanda Barnett Jacover of Glenview Public Library, who discussed stop-motion animation. Take cameras, small props, and computers with (free!) Windows Live Movie Maker, and you’ve got a quick and fun way to introduce kids to creative film-making. A few Tinkerers tested out their new skills by making this very, um, appealing video.
