Robot Test Kitchen

At November’s Meeting four members of Robot Test Kitchen presented about how to begin to think about adding different types of technology based programming in youth services. Robot Test Kitchen is a group of five Teen and YS librarians who got together through ILEAD-USA and began thinking about how to add robotics concepts to library programming. Through the grant we received through ILEAD we were able to buy a variety of different robotics kits and try them out. On the blog we share reviews and thoughts with the aim of helping fellow YS librarians get ideas on how to use robotics in programming and talk honestly and openly about our struggles and successes.

At the meeting we shared some successes and some things that were not so successful. Then we had some hands on time where everyone could try out a few kits including: Sphero, LittleBits, Cubelets, and Bee-Bot.
